Stephens Home

The existing live oaks on this property help to balance out the scale of this classic home. The goal of the Makaira team on this project was to create a stunning formal landscape to complete the scale of the live oak trees and house. This was achieved with evergreen layers of boxwoods, Japanese yew, limelight hydrangea, and Eagleston Hollies. A front entry pathway composed of brick pads help to complete a charming front façade. A pool area composed of French pattern bluestone and French grey plaster help to complement materials used in construction of the home. In the rear courtyard area, creeping fig ivy helps to break up the mass amount of stone and painted brick in a stunning way. A planter of tiered boxwoods help to provide a focal point in the bluestone patio area. Perimeter landscape planting help to soften the fence line composed of painted brick columns and wooden panels. This bluestone pool and painted brick home is as elegant as a fairy tale.
