2424 Tulane Apartments
2424 Tulane is a multifamily residential complex that was in need of a modern, yet functional setting for its third story outdoor terrace. Since the area was bound for high traffic use of many residents, artificial turf was installed to address those needs. A series of large planters composed of composite wood and precast concrete were installed to house a lush planting of Eagleston hollies, yucca, agave, rosemary and Mexican feather grass. Challenges for this project included hauling all material multiple stories above street level with the use of a crane and address drainage and irrigation requirements for the entire courtyard. The string lights were the perfect finishing touch to this verdant courtyard dozens of feet above street level.
