Rainey Pool and Landscape

When it comes to a southern garden, it doesn't get more elegant than this landscape master plan. A sugar kettle water feature surrounded by brick path way complements the Acadian architecture of this home. Although the landscape may seem traditional at first glance, a closer look will reveal timeless plant materials used in new and unique ways. Instead of traditional multi-trunk crape myrtles, a massing of single trunk Natchez Crape myrtles give this southern garden a contemporary feel. Rounded archs of boxwoods and azaleas help to break up the ridged architecture of this southern castle. Globe boxwoods and eagleston hollies help to provide evergreen forms to this garden year round. The pool area and outdoor living area is rather contemporary compared to the front entry landscape. The large and straightforward pool layout composed of firerock, glasstile, and vibrant blue plaster lends itself to plenty of room for entertaining and ample sunlight. However the pergola, outdoor kitchen, refreshing water help to provide relief when the sunlight becomes overbearing.
